Premier, Support Community Volunteers Caring for Nature

The South Australian Government has cut funding that helps thousands of South Australians care for nature.

The Natural Resource Management Community Grants program is a tiny fund with a big heart. Terminating it shows a disregard for the invaluable work of commmunity volunteer groups to look after the environmment across the state.

In the wake of both the Federal and State budget's massive cuts to the environment and slashing staff and services, volunteers are being increasingly left to pick up the pieces. This funding is a cheap, effective way to support them do what they do best – getting their hands dirty doing the on-ground work in our state's natural spaces.
